►Yippee!! The old cabinets are gone and all of
the new shorter cabinets have been set up. Cabinet
door knobs will be put on nearer the end of construction.
Construction of what? In rough order of events as we
currently see them:
- electricity from a wall
outlet on the yellow back wall has to be made available
- back-to-back cabinet
pairs must be bolted together for added stability
- plywood cut to size and
laid on top of the cabinets
- cabinets leveled in
every direction
- frame made to enclose
the Village with Plexiglas as well as to prop up the
ceiling and lighting
- Plexiglas panels ordered
and installed
- plywood panels made to
be used in place of Plexiglas panels as backgrounds when
making videos
- placement of buildings
- landscaping
Numbers 1 though 5 and Number
7 will be my dear husband's job to complete with his
woodworking skills, though I will be along for the ride to
make sure we design the structure to be easy for me to get
into when I need.
I can handle dealing with
Number 6. Numbers 8 and 9 will be my job. I
expect to make several attempts at arranging the buildings
to find the best set up for them all. Landscaping will
be a complex job that I'm not quite sure how I will tackle.
I'll know more as I arrange the buildings and research
landscaping on the model railroad boards.
However, what we have in the
photo above is an excellent first step!
